The emptiness is eerie, and yet in some ways familiar. The Desert Palace of Gaia is a structure clearly meant for hundreds of people, but now has a population of three - one of those in stasis.
Though both Regulus and Mikoto are wearing boots, both also seem to know how to walk quietly. In this case, Regulus is the one with more actual experience... a lifetime habit of evesdropping.
Mikoto hasn't drawn either of her knives. She walks through the place all the more like a ghost for being invisible, but it would be a mistake to think her harmless or unarmed just because she's kept her hands free of obvious weapons.
