in_the_cracks: Sceptical Telrim (Thinking critically)

Telrim might understand his loyalty better than he realises - enough to justify relying on it, at least. She's certainly not incapable of honouring debts herself. It's just that such bonds have a hierarchy, and promises to aliens are only polite words compared to the interests of the Empire. No-one likes a traitor.

Along the rows of specimens they work, Telrim pushing the empty drawers closed in their wake, until everything is sealed up once more. She swipes a handful of tools from a bench to toss through as well. Those could be hard to come by in the next while...

"Throw some of the equipment through and we can move on," she says, heading back to the console to retrieve her datachip. Just one last thing to do here, and that's to unlock an access panel so she can remove a couple of rather important components from beneath the console. No slagging the place: that would be too obvious. She pulls her Dracon beam and adjusts it to one of the lowest settings instead.
